Goodman's Complete Game Again Not Enough as Huntingdon Valley Losses to Fort Washington 2-1

Huntingdon Valley (HV) received another complete game from Lower Moreland's Southpaw Ross Goodman (7 Innings Pitched, 4 Hits) but it still wasn't enough as Fort Washington (Fort) used small ball to beat HV 2-1. HV received a huge game at the plate from Abington's Chris Ruhl (2-3, 2 Doubles) and Holy Ghost's Paul Buckey (2-3, rbi) but it wasn't enough to for HV to pull the game out. HV had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th inning when they had a Ruhl on 3rd and 1 out but couldn't push the run across. The loss put HV at 3-3 on the season.

The game started like it has before with Goodman on the mound. Goodman throws a lot of strikes low in the strike zone and gets a lot of ground outs. Once again the offense didn't score enough for the Goodman.

HV only run of the game came from a single off the bat of Buckley who fought off an 0-2 count which plated Bobby Leonard.

"Ahhh, all I can say is that I feel terrible again for Goodman, all this kid does is take the bump and give it his all and a box of chocolates. When he pitches it is almost like he isn't there he is so smooth. This is two straight games that with a key hit here or there he is 2-0 but it hasn't gone his way and he is 0-2 and that just stinks" 1st year Coach Evan Horn continued "Ruhl came up big at the plate and the more I think about the moves I made in the bottom of the 7th this loss can easily be pinned on me but we are all a team and we lose and win together. These kids are special and anything less then a win is unacceptable"

HV dosent have time to even think about the tough loss as they play undeafeated Horsham tomorrow night.
