Huntingdon Valley Senior League Plays to a 3-3 Tie

Huntingdon Valley (HV) used a late rally to take a lead to only give it up with 2 outs in the home 7th as they play to a 3-3 tie with The Morelanders. HV received a great pitching performence from Lower Moreland Senior Ross Goodman (3ip, 0 hits, 4ks) and a huge day at the plate from Matt Meyers (2 for 3, 3 RBI's)

"We where lucky to be in this game tonight" Coach Evan Horn said "It took a huge hit off the bat of Matty (Meyers) and great pitching from Chips (Goodman) but we were really flat and we cant come out like this again"

HV fell behind quich as The Morelanders touched HV starter Dan Johnson with 2 quick runs in the 2nd inning but that was all they could muster until the 7th when they tied the game at 3-3.

HV scored a single run in the 4th when Meyers singled in Nick Rittler then scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning when with 2 outs Lou Palmer (1 for 4) and Jake Yannessa (1 for 3) both singled and came around to score when Meyers doubled them in.

"The game was really a back and forth game with both teams making big plays" Horn said "When you are playing a team as good as them you almost have to play a perfect game to be competitive. Im upset with the tie but on the other hand I feel as we are lucky"

HV travels to Horsham Saturday afternoon to take on Horsham.
