Lawlor's Complete Game Not Enough as Huntingdon Valley Senior Legion Falls 1-0 To Fort Washington

Matt Lawlor's complete game 3 hitter wasn't enough as Huntingdon Valley (HV) fell to Fort Washington (FW) 1-0 in a Senior Legion duel. With the loss HV fell to 7-4-1 in the league but is still in 2nd place.
HV had runners on almost every inning and just couldn't push across a run. HV in total left 9 runners on base.
"A big part of my coaching is always trying to get that big 2-out hit" Head Coach Evan Horn said, "I knew going into the game it was going to be low scoring as all games with The Fort are but to leave that many runners on it was a bit on the annoying side"
FW scored its only run of the game in the 3rd inning and really didn't threaten after that.
" Lawlor really has come into his own this season. He seems to always give me that 110 pitch game (72 today) and always keeps us in games" Coach Horn continued, "I love to see the development of Matt (Lawlor) and it seems as he just cant get that break he needs to win games"
Lawlor season stats are 1-3 with a 1.40 ERA. In 25 innings he has given up 22 hits, 8 walks and 21 strikeouts.HV plays on Sunday home against Horsham
